     Alfred Klinger was born on 9 May 1847.2 He was the son of John Klinger and Sarah Buffington.1 Some sources record that Alfred Klinger was born on 2 May 1847.3 He was baptized on 10 June 1847, Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.4 He died on 24 March 1882, Perry County, PA, at age 34.3,5,6 He was buried at Liverpool Union Cemetery, Liverpool, Perry County, PA.3 According to information at Findagrave.com:
A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Harrisburg February 9, 1865, mustered into federal service there February 14 as a private with Co. L, 13th Pennsylvania Cavalry (117th Pa), and honorably discharged July 13, 1865, by general order.
After the war, he married Mary [Funk] and fathered Harry W. (b. 02/19/73, d. 06/28/74). By 1870, he was living in Liverpool, Perry County, where he was a member of Post 409, G.A.R.7

     Cerenus Klinger is also referred to as Serenus Emory Klinger in some sources.2,3 He was born on 7 April 1850.1 He was the son of John Klinger and Sarah Buffington.1 Some sources record that Cerenus Klinger was born on 10 April 1850.2 He was baptized on 5 May 1850, Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.4 He married Agnes A. Frank, daughter of Philip Frank and Ellen A. Cheston.5 Cerenus Klinger died on 29 January 1921, Liverpool, Perry County, PA, at age 70.6

Liverpool--Funeral services were held here to-day for S. E. Klinger, a well known boatman, who died on Saturday.
