     Joel Orlando Klinger was born on 22 October 1892.1 He was the son of Robert Edward Klinger and Mary Ann Mausser. Joel Orlando Klinger married Adeline Bruella Wiest, daughter of William Wiest and Eva Elizabeth Strohecker, on 25 October 1913, Zion (Klinger's) Church, Erdman, Lykens Township, Dauphin County, PA.2 Joel Orlando Klinger died on 14 December 1970, Pottsville Hospital, Pottsville, Schuylkill County, PA, at age 78.3,4 He was buried on 16 December 1970, at Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Erdman, Dauphin County, PA.4

Funeral Services For Joel Klinger
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from Zion's Lutheran Church, Erdman, for Joel Orlando Klinger, 78, of Star Route, Sacramento, who died Monday in Pottsville Hospital, where he was admitted December 9.
Born October 22, 1892, Klinger was a son of Robert and Maryann Masser Klinger, and lived all his life in the home where he was born. A miner and a farmer, he had formerly been employed at Williamstown Colliery. For a number of years, Klinger sold farm produce and poultry in the Tower City area. He was a former school director of Hubley Township and Tri-Valley School District.
He was a member of Zion's Lutheran Church and Sunday School at Erdman. He was also a member of the Erdman Sportsmen's Association. He was the last member of his family.
Survivors include his widow, the former Adeline Weist; two sons, Leon. East Norwich, N. Y; Elwood, Middletown; a daughter Eva, wife of Marlin Shade, at home. There are five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Robert Johnston, officiated. Burial was made in Zion's Cemetery, Erdman.
